An early Christmas gift

Christmas came early today for my special little boy Harry. Jamie Markle from F&W kindly sent us a special preview copy of the newly published book 'Art Journey Animals' which has my drawing of Harry as the front cover. I hope you enjoy the photo's my husband took as I unwrapped the package and showed the book to Harry. I think he approves, don't you?

'Hey Harry, Santa heard you wish. A package has arrived from F&W'

'Look Harry, it's you on the front cover. Isn't that awesome!'

'That's me, that is. They have made my eyes extra shiny too'

The book can be pre ordered from North Light Books http://www.northlightshop.com/art-journey-animals.

Incriminate-Ted to Feature in Splash 16

I am honoured to have a painting selected to be in this popular series of North Light books again this year. Splash 16, which will be published sometime in 2015, will be all about textures so I will have lots to write about with this painting. It was such a fun to create. I will never forget my poor husbands face when I asked him to put his camera inches away from my Ted while I drizzled maple syrup all over him. He was so afraid I was going to miss the bear and catch his camera instead. His expression was a picture!

Splash 15 winner Notification!

I was thrilled when I opened an e mail today from Rachel Wolf and Sarah Laichas from North Light books to say....

"Congratulations! We are very happy to inform you that one of your paintings has been selected for publication in North Light Books' Splash 15: Creative Solutions."

It is an honor to be chosen for such a prestigious book along with so many fabulous watercolour artists. You can see who else has been selected HERE

The painting that has been chosen for publication is the one of my two naughty Ted's 'Intoxiate-Ted and Inebriate-Ted' who found an unopened bottle of whisky in Grandpa's study one day. I sure hope the news of their upcoming fame won't result in more celebrations ;)

The book will be published next year.
