I find putting them into words helps my understanding too so its great if you are learning as well.

Bridget, I use a very soft mop brush to wet the surface of the paper. Then I wait until it is just shiny and then apply the paint again with a soft brush. I dont use flat brushes unless I want to see the brushstrokes. You have to be patient between glazes for the paper to really dry. I usually set the timer for 45 minutes and do not even go back to it in this time so I cant fiddle. In the summer this is normally long enough but at this time of year I tend to make sure its dry with a hairdryer before wetting again. Its by no means a quick technique but I love the richness of colour you can get by glazing. Hope this helps.

OnaOna Kingdonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05680501377206893420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5572261848752643644.post-34580397458863903392011-02-24T19:58:14.891-05:002011-02-24T19:58:14.891-05:00Ona, could you explain wet on damp glazing to me? ...Ona, could you explain wet on damp glazing to me? anytime I've done this it pulls up the bottom color and you can see my brushstrokes.
